About Me
I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Yes, Heart, Eric Clapton, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, CSNY, and others of their ilk, and by the 90s I was liking bands like the Black Crowes and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then somewhere along the line I switched to talk radio and married a Cuban songwriter/guitarist who spent 12 years teaching me all about the Latin scene and making me more tired of the Beatles than I ever thought possible. Now that we’re divorced (though still friends), and I’m trying to figure out what’s next, I’m listening to music again but am stuck in a mid-90s time warp. Slowly, with the help of social media, I’m discovering what I’ve been missing. It’s difficult - I’m older now, and none of my friends share my musical tastes, which have gotten a bit edgier over the years. In real life I’m Jenny the librarian, trying to get a grip on age and divorce with a little crowdsourced music therapy.
