Today’s anon posts have reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to bring up, although I can’t remember where I heard or read about it. It has to do with personality, and what your answer to the following question says about you:
If you could either fly, or be invisible, which would you choose?
The people who were discussing this were of the opinion that, if you choose flight, it means you’re courageous and fascinating and awesome, and if you choose invisibility, you’re a sneaky pathetic masturbator. Having already admitted that I’d choose to be invisible (not to mention having also said something today, if you’ll forgive me, about being in my bunk), I would dispute this assessment and defend myself only by pointing out that if you could be invisible, you’d be able to hear what people say about you when they don’t know you’re in the room, and I daresay that takes more courage than flying.
I’d be interested in what others think, particularly since, unlike me, all you guys grew up with Harry Potter, and wasn’t there a cloak that made him invisible? There’s Lord of the Rings too, while we’re at it. So I guess you could make a case for invisibility by arguing that it is, if nothing else, literary. Plus, I’m kinda liking this discussion thing that’s been happening on my blog lately.
