Look what I just got!!! An early Christmas present to myself. You didn’t think I was serious about taking up the drums at my advanced age, did you? But I told José Pasillas when I met him last May I was going to do it, and I wasn’t lying, dammit! Now I can simultaneously take out all my frustrations (on something other than my walls and furniture) and get back at my neighbors with the constantly screaming toddler. Now, who wants to teach me how to play?!?

So far my favorites are bands like Incubus, Coheed and Cambria, The Dead Weather, The White Stripes, and The Black Keys. Bands I've always liked include Yes, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Crowes, Pink Floyd, and Heart, to name just a few. (Yeah, I tend to like bands with colors in their names. I even like Maroon 5.)
Here's a list of some of the bands and solo artists mentioned in this blog.
