30 day music challenge

Day 23: A song that you think everybody should listen to.

Before I started blogging about music on Tumblr, I tweeted about it on Twitter. One day, a little over a year ago, I got a new follow from an up-and-coming band out of San Francisco called The Growing Room. I assume they found me by searching for tweets about bands similar to theirs. I liked them instantly, and this video of their song My Goodbye was one of the first things I posted when I started this blog. The lead singer and I have tweeted back and forth a few times since then, and I think he knows I have a little crush on him. He might as well get used to it, because when they hit it big, they’re going to have lots of fan-girling to deal with. They probably already do. ♥

One day, when I was going through my divorce, someone I’m not even really friends with gave me a very valuable piece of advice. She said, “Be good to yourself,” and although it seems like such an obvious idea, it sent shock waves through my head. Today I saw this tweet from the lead singer of an up-and-coming band out of San Francisco called The Growing Room. I’ve been following (and falling in love with) him on Twitter for almost a year now. The band’s video, My Goodbye (a break-up song, ironically), was one of the first things I ever posted on this blog. Be good to yourself and check it out.
