Incubus - Rebel Girls

I posted this the other day and said it was from the Atlanta show, but looking at it again, I don’t think it is. Here’s mine from Atlanta, further back from the stage. Both work for me, whatever the venue.

Incubus - Rebel Girls (live in Atlanta, August 19, 2012)

I was there and took video of the same song, but this person was closer to the stage and managed to get some lovely sustained views of the most recent ink. Of the four times I’ve seen Incubus live (so far), this is Brandon Boyd at his sexiest. (DJ is pretty hot, too.)

Update, November 8: Wait, on second glance I don’t think this is from the Atlanta show. No matter - these guys are worth watching any time, anywhere.

Linkin Park & Incubus raise more than $350k on Honda Civic Tour

linkinphilanthropy:

A great article from The Huffington Post about Linkin Park and Incubus’ non-profit organizations and all the wonderful partnerships they had during the tour.

Incubus - Circles (excerpt)

I wasn’t going to post this, because the previously mentioned guy in the white hat obstructed my view of the stage, but the big screen affords some lovely close-ups. Not enough Chris, though.

Mutemath - Drum Trio
Alpharetta, Georgia, August 19, 2012

Let’s not forget these guys from New Orleans, who are opening for Incubus and Linkin Park this summer. They played for what seemed like only a few short minutes last Sunday, so the only decent video I managed to get was this pretty cool drum trio with some sort of homegrown synthesizer, I think. Incidentally, my understanding is that they are sometimes classified as a Christian band, but they’re not up in your face about it, which is a good thing. Listen to their song Odd Soul and see if you don’t think they sound a little like the Black Keys.

I'm totally happy that you posted that video from Sunday with Brandon singing INXS. My mom and I were on the way home from the concert and were trying to remember what song it was!! :)

My pleasure! Your mom might remember that the 80s were kind of an odd time for music, but Incubus has a gift for picking out the good stuff.

Linkin Park - When They Come For Me
Alpharetta, Georgia, August 19, 2012

Incubus is a pretty tough act to follow, but if anyone can pull it off it’s Linkin Park. I’m not as well-versed in their catalog as I am in that of Incubus, but the 11-hour drive to Atlanta gave me plenty of time to brush up. Hard-core fans may scoff, but so far I think my favorite album is A Thousand Suns, which was well represented at the concert. Most of the people in front of me came and went throughout the Incubus portion of the show, but returned in full force for LP and stayed put, so I didn’t have much of a window to take video. I was determined to get this one, though - one of their most interesting songs, I think.

My camera always, always dies during the last song of any concert, so forgive the abrupt ending, but you’ll probably be in such a complete trance by then that there won’t be much that can bother you. Don’t stay zoned out for too long, though. As if the evening hadn’t already been awesome enough, Linkin Park was up next, and I had another memory card in my purse. More video shortly…

Incubus…

”..them and I need to collide.

I’m at it again.

I’m at it again.
