Incubus in Georgia, August 19, 2012
When the roadies roll out the veritas-emblazoned equipment, it can mean only one thing: our favorite Harvard student and his band are about to take the stage. Then suddenly, the sound of the frogs from Aqueous Transmission, the chanting of Indian UFO-watchers from a great sci-fi film, and the countdown to Atlanta’s close encounter with Incubus. Video in a sec…
OMFG, I just left the Linkubus Atlanta show. Lots to share with you, but first the long drive back to Miami. I will say one thing in the meantime, though. Just when you think Brandon Boyd and the rest of Incubus can’t possibly get any sexier, they do an INXS cover. Don’t wait for my video - someone else is sure to post it to YouTube, so try to find it as soon as you can. Go!
Alright, I confess I’m going to their show this weekend mainly for Incubus, but it’s a 10-hour drive to get there, which should be plenty of time to give myself a crash course in Linkin Park. (Oooh, maybe I shouldn’t use the words “drive” and “crash” in the same sentence, but you know what I mean). I do have their last 3 albums and Hybrid Theory, but please tell me what else I absolutely must be familiar with to get the most out of this concert. Not just music, but LP lore as well. Anyone?
Like I could forget.
wooo :) what honda civic tour date are you gonna go to? Im going to the one on september 8th
Atlanta. For various reasons I’d pretty much resigned myself to missing this tour, but then late last night some kind of light went on and I suddenly realized there isn’t much stopping me. Plus, before too long I have to go back to work, and Incubus is going on vacation, so if not now, when, right?
Have fun in L.A.! ♥
