Just realized that yesterday marked exactly one year since I saw 311 in concert, so I’m observing the occasion by watching my videos again. Here, from the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton, is Beautiful Disaster.

311 - Love Song

If I’d thought of this earlier, it would have worked for 3 of the 30 day music challenge challenges: a song that is a cover, a song that makes you want to fall in love, and a song you can daydream to.

311 - Come Original

Driving home just now, really sad, this came on the radio and instantly made me feel better.

311 - Amber

It’s 311 Day! Time to revisit my videos from last November’s concert in Boca Raton. From the second row, here’s Beautiful Disaster.

311 - All Mixed Up

My 311th post.

311 - India Ink

Incubus - Are You In?

311 - Count Me In

Another video recorded earlier this evening at the 311 show in Boca Raton, Florida. This one is Sunset in July, or most of it anyway. Once again, as has happened to me at other concerts, I got busted by a security guard for taking video even though hundreds of people around me were doing the same. At the end of the clip you can hear him telling me, “You can’t record the show,” after which he proceeded to turn a blind eye toward everyone else’s cameras, not to mention their funny cigarettes (which should also be legal if you ask me). I don’t know why I’m the one who gets picked on, but, as always, I complied without an argument. As a librarian, and as someone who used to be married to a songwriter, I do realize there are intellectual property issues involved here, but all I know is that yesterday I purchased this song from iTunes, and I believe that concert videos like this one serve only to encourage others to do likewise. So here it will stay until any further cease and desist orders come my way.

Just got back from seeing 311 at the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton, Florida. Here’s Beautiful Disaster.

Last minute decision to see 311 tonight! Got my ticket, now I gotta go…

311 - Down

Yet another band I should be way more familiar with by now, but for the rock I’ve been living under for the past decade or so.

They’ll be within driving distance on Saturday. I don’t have a ticket. Debating whether or not to go anyway.
