Okay, I want…
Yahoo has purchased Tumblr. My heart is breaking.
A student in the library just asked me for this poem. I thought I’d post it, because it makes me think of Tumblr.
Spellbound
by Emily Brontë
The night is darkening round me,
The wild winds coldly blow;
But a tyrant spell has bound me
And I cannot, cannot go.
The giant trees are bending
Their bare boughs weighed with snow.
And the storm is fast descending,
And yet I cannot go.
Clouds beyond clouds above me,
Wastes beyond wastes below;
But nothing drear can move me;
I will not, cannot go.
I posted an Incubus video earlier today (Adolescents) because I was talking to some people about Tumblr and wanted to show how quickly likes and reblogs start to happen after you post something. Thanks for helping me to be right! I was also telling them how much better it is when a total stranger on the other side of the world likes something you’ve posted on Tumblr than when your brother-in-law likes something you said on Facebook. Don’t worry, though - the people I was talking to today are teachers, but they’re cool.
How would you feel if one of your teachers wanted you to use Tumblr for a class assignment, or as a way for your class to communicate or work on a project? You wouldn’t have to use your own blog - you could make a separate one just for your class. Would you be like, “Nooooooo!!! Tumblr is too cool for school,” or do you think you might be into it?
Sometimes I think Tumblr is the only thing keeping me alive.
tumblr is going to be hilarious on the night the world supposedly ends

It’s so lonely when no one in your daily life shares your taste in music, or has even heard of most of what you like. I think I would die if I didn’t have Tumblr or Incubus HQ.
It seems my blog has been compromised by a hacker offering Starbucks gift cards in exchange for your personal information. If you see something like that, I did not post it, and it’s not for real. Evidently, this kind of thing has been going on since January, but this is the first time I’m seeing it.
